Cleveland show, week of April 2nd, '06. (H. A. DANIELS.) CAPTRICE, LYNN & FAY---3 girls, presenting a dainty singing and dancing specialty. A very pretty little act, and thoroughly all right in this position. Open F. S. Close in one. 14 min. DORIA TRIO---2 men and a woman, presenting "A Night in Venice." An excellent singing act. Edyth Marrilees sings the prison scene from "Faust" as well as Edyth Becker of the Grand Opera Trio, and that is saying a great deal. An excellent act. Special set in 4 close in one 11 min. ANNIE & JENNIE YEAMANS---They offer a little sketch, which serves to introduce some singing and dancing. Mrs. Annie Yeamans received an ovation on her entrance. She seems to be well known here, and it was three of four minutes before the act could continue. However, I think that the audience tired of the act after a few minutes. On their close in one where Mrs. Yeamans introduces her song and dance of 30 years ago, she received a great deal of applause. Good act. C.D.F. 3. Close in one 17 min. MR. & MRS. JIMMIE BARRY---Presenting their familiar act "The Village Cut-up." The act made a pernounced hit, and went with laughter and applause throughout. Gar. in 4. Close in one. 23 min. EMIL HOCH, JANE ELTON & CO.---2 women and a man, in a sketch entitled "Mlle Ricci." The "Company" is very bad. The sketch could almost be considered a fall-down. It received very little applause at the close, and was apparently not as well liked as any one of the acts that preceded it. C. D. F. 3. 17 min. LEW HAWKINS---Black-face Monologue. Although he had the hard spot in one on the bill, he managed to hold it down in great shape, and the Monday afternoon audience voted it a very good act. Drop in one. 16 min. WOTPERT TRIO---European acrobats. This is the first act that has been in Cleveland, that uses the "see saw". A very good acrobatic act, and a novelty for the Clevelandite. Gar. 4 8 min. CARLOTTA---the lady who "Loops the Loop." The loop was sent by freight over the Lake Shore, consequently the act did not go on today. I am glad all our acts do not come by freight.
