252 252 Cleveland Show, Week of April 23, 1906. (H. A. Daniels.) BROTHERS DAMM---Eccentric acrobats and equilibrists. Both men work straight. It is a very good act of the kind, in fact too good for an opener. 7 min. F. S. BERTINA & BROCKWAY--Two girls. Singing, dancing, and a little contortion work. Their singing does not amount to much. The act is all that can be expected for the money, and the audience seemed willing to let them go when they signified a desire to do so. Drop in one. 10 min. BROCKMAN, MACK & BELMONT---Two men and a woman. Sketch "The Count on Mother's account." Mack is the Mack of Monroe, Mack & Lawrence. They used the Mother-in-law character in this act. There is just a thread of a plot, the act depending entirely on Mack's comedy, and Brockman's excellent vocal work. This act received more applause than any other act in the show. C. D. F. in 3. 19 min. MISS LAURA BURT---Leading lady with the late Si Henry Irving. gave imitations of Miss Ellen Terry, Henry Irving, and Wilton Lackaye. Also sang a little, and made a stump speech. went much better than I anticipated. Received liberal Applause. Drop in one. 14 min. Will M. CRESSY & BLANCHE DAYNE---"Bill Biffin's Baby." Hearty applause before and after the act. enough said. Special set in 5. 25 min LEE HARRISON---Late comedian of Joe Weber's All-star Stock Company. Entertains with a half-dozen short stories, and a song. While he did not make a tremendous hit, he managed to hold down the spot, and may improve as the week progresses. Drop in one. 15 min. THE HARMONY FOUR---Four men, one working straight, three as comedians. Singing and dancing act. These are four Cleveland boys. They were given their start at the old Empire Theatre by the late Mr. Eirick seven years ago. They are very well known in Cleveland, and because of their many friends here, some allowance will have to be made for the reception they received. Good act. C.D.F. in 3. Close in one. 14 min. EIGHT BEDOUIN ARABS---Went as well as the former Arab act we played sometime ago. They do the same sort of stuff, and seem to do it about as well. 8 min. F. S. KINETOGRAPH--- Two Little Waifs. Good Mr. Butt in. Good.
