TRENT THEATRE, TRENTON, N. J., WEEK OF NOV. 28, 1904. [Column headings] Act Set Gordon, Vidouq & Cohen Full stage Just gets by as opening act. Quite some slapstick comedy that catches on with certain portions of the audience; character work of one comedian is very light and lines not over-bright. Burke & Dempsey All in one Two-man talking act that just goes fair. Some of the patter is very good; act works a little slow and neither of the men are good singers. Kennedy & Rooney Full stage Encore in one five minutes The act opens with some little dialogue that is rather bright, catchy and to the point, and winds up with some clever, as well as comedy business at the piano, and some very good dancing. The act goes good here. Kennedy has a rather unique way of working in which his eccentricities seem to catch on with the audience splendidly. Sunny South Full stage A big scenic plantation act; ten colored folks, half young men and half young ladies; all work well together in three quite clever number, with some good quick changes, opening with a little story, continued in some clever quartette singing and winding up with some good dancing. The act is set off very prettily with especially appropriate and artistic scenery in keeping and in character with this offering. "The Sunny South" is a good act, away from the ordinary vaudeville offering and goes good here. INTERMISSION Zarrow Trio Full stage A good comedy bicycle act, and some very clever straight tricks by one member of the trio; goes good here. James H. Cullan All in one Makes very good here. Goes a little quiet at first, but there is a certain personal magnetism that he possesses, that seems to catch on as he goes along, and goes very good at the finish. He has q quiet, magnetic and attractive way of singing in an easy manner some quite original and up-to-the-minute songs. Mr. & Mrs. Perkins Fisher Full stage The quiet, quaint, rural comedy of this act afforded a continual laugh for the patrons here throughout the entire act, and the finish is an applause-getter, making the act stand in its proper place at the close of the show, where it goes exceptionally well and proves itself a good clever offering for our patrons. BIOGRAPH This criticism is based only upon the management's version of the acceptance of the above acts by the Patrons of the Trent Theatre, Trenton, N. J. EDWARD RENTON, Manager.
