TEMPLE THEATRE, DETROIT, MICH. DEC. 11. J. H. FINN-CRITICISM. McDONALD AND HUNTINGTON For the price this is a very good little singing and dancing act. The girl is petite and has a fair voice and the man is also a fair singer and dancer 11 min. F. S. Close 1. PIWITT, THE MYSTERIOUS FACE This is in truth a great novelty. It is the mechanical face of a man [illegible; hidden in crease of paper] and made to weep, smile and express every human emotion 7 min. F. S. JACK NORWORTH This young man made a hit here with his parodies and his funny sayings. He improvises excellently, and can make a bit hit out of local happenings 16 in one. OLIVE MAY AND J. W. ALBAUGH, jr. Presenting "The Inspector from Kansas." There are three people in the cast, two men and a woman. The sketch is well written and very well acted. Miss May, who was the original Bonita in "Arizona," has a fat part and makes the most of it 23 min. F. S. LOUISE DRESSER I consider this woman the best singing comedienne in vaudeville. She is not only a swell looker, but she is a swell dresser, and she knows what songs to select for vaudeville and knows how to sing them. If it were not that she is tied to the pantaloon strap of her husband Jack Norworth she would be a star in musical-comedy 10 in one. CHAS. H. BURKE, GRACE LaRUE AND THE INKEY BOYS This is a good comedy, singing and dancing act. It has been toned down since its last presentation here and therefore is better than ever 20 min. F. S. SIDNEY DEANE & CO. Presenting "Christmas on Blackwell's Island." This is nothing more or less than a quartet of pretty fair singers, all men, who sing behind a drop representing a cell block 21 min. with drop. ROBERTY'S TROUPE Three men, a woman and a boy in a very good equilibrist act 12 min. F.S.
