KEITH'S THEATRE, CLEVELAND. Week beginning December 12th, 1904. AMOS, COMEDY JUGGLER:- There isn't any comedy in this act at all. In three performances he hasn't been able to get a laugh. This act is hardly strong enough for Cleveland. It is not a bad act by any means. Time 15 minutes full stage, closing 3 minutes in one. MUSICAL BENNETTS:- This is an act on the order of the Kleist Bros., not as good as that act, but will pass muster. I have played lots of musical acts that are not near as good as this one, still at the same time, it is a kind of a novelty, and seems to please. I wouldn't be strong enough to go down any further on the bill than No. 2. The act will no doubt improve. Time 12 minutes full stage. KELLEY & VIOLETTE, IN SONGS:- This act is familiar to everybody. Is always a big hit in Cleveland. HALLEN & FULLER, IN THEIR SKETCH ENTITLED "ELECTION BETS":- This is the second time it has played Cleve land and goes fairly well. In a general way gives satisfaction. Time of the act 19 minutes full stage. ELFIE FAY:- She is singing two new songs, ending with her trademark "Belle of Avenue A". This woman is doing the best act she has ever done. Her two new songs are immense. Her second song in particular a big hit, and as good as her "Belle of Avenue A". Time 10 minutes in one. PAPINTA, THE DANCER:- This act is familiar with every house on the circuit, and there is no information that I can give that would be of any value. This act was always well liked in Cleveland. Time 14 minutes full stage. CLIFFORD & BURKE, BLACK FACE COMEDIANS:- This act consists of singing, talking and dancing. First time they have played this house, and is a big hit. It is one of the best of all the black face acts. Time 22 minutes in one. SCOTT BROTHERS, NOVELTY ACROBATS:- This is a good act. The stuff they do is not marvelous, but is done in a rather odd sort of a way. Something out of the ordinary. Time 10 minutes full stage. BIOGRAPH:- I am running three rilms this week entitled - A Welsh Slate Quarry, - The Mystic Trunk, - Boys Home for the Holidays, which are good. They run about 12 minutes. NOTE:- This is really the best show that I have had in this house in six weeks. With the exception of Amos, the opening act, it is decidedly a Cleveland show. There is but little talking in it. It may not increase the business very much, on account of the off season, and the Chadwick affair which has hurt the town very much, yet at the same time, it will bring back a good many of the patrons that drifted away on account of the poor shows that we have had in here. L. M. EIRICK.
