Cleveland, O. WEEK BEGINNING JANUARY 10th, 1905. MME. OLIVE, Juggler. This act is familiar to everybody. It goes with Harding & Ah Sid. Just a fair opening act. Runs about 10 minutes full stage. BASQUE QUARTERS, in High Class [song?] I fail to get where the singing is so high class. They didn't make much of a hit here. Their voices are not nearly as good as when I heard the act about a year ago. They work entirely in one 12 minutes. LOUIS A. SIMON, GRACE GARDNER & CO. in a sketch called "THE NEW COACHMAN" This is a good laughing act and a good sketch. In spots it is a little too coarse and rough, and I believe could be toned down so as not to hurt it any. I have suggested some things to Mr. Simon, and he is perfectly willing to make the changes, and I believe it will do the act some good instead of harm, and do away with lots of the coarse work connected with the act. Time 33 minutes in full stage. ELIZABETH MURRAY in songs and stories. This woman always does a good act and is well liked here. Time 15 minutes full stage. HARDING & AH SID, "Fun in a Chinese Laundry". This act is also familiar with everybody. It is practically the same as it has been for the last few years. First time they played in this house and go well. They can close in one if necessary. Time 15 minutes. MOORE & LITTLEFIELD, in their skit entitled "Change your Act or Back to the Woods." This is a very good act, and is well-liked in Cleveland. They open in one, go to full stage and close in one. Time 23 minutes. COOPER & ROBINSON, Colored Entertainers. This is the best act of all of them that we have played. They are going big. Time 17 minutes in one. PAULTON & DOOLEY, European Comedy Bicycle Act. This is a very good act. It is as good as any that I have seen in a long while. The comedy is exceptionally good. Time 10 minutes in full stage. BIOGRAPH. I am running two pictures this week entitled "The Clockmaker's Dream" and the "Widow and the Only Man". The last film is a very good pictures. Time 10 minutes. NOTE:- This is a good comedy show all the way through. There is nothing in it that draws any money, and I don't think the business will be nearly as large as last week. I didn't get a good start at the matinee yesterday, as Cooper & Robinson did not show up at all and the Basque Quartette and Elizabeth Murray were obliged to go on in their street clothes. Paulton & Dooley barely got in in time to make the matinee. My first performance was a very unsatisfactory one. However, the show is running in first-class shape now, and pleases well.
