(2) DIXON & ANGER: CYH-2: Drop 1. Two men, talking comedians, one working straight and the other in German eccentric makeup. Their material is all new and funny, although the spot this afternoon was too much for them. If they do not go any better to-night will probably change them with Searl & Violet Allen. 17 minutes. FOY & CLARK: YHR-2: Full stage. Man and woman, presenting the comedy "The Old Curiosity Shop". The act is about the same as when presented here before and went fully as strong. 18 minutes. FOUR MORTONS: HRR-2: Open in one, full stage, close in one. Singing and dancing comedy. First appearance here in years. Big lot of advance applause and each one individual reception. One big hit. 31 minutes. ORPHEUS COMEDY FOUR: YRR-2: Drop 1. Four men, eccentric makeup. In this strong place on the bill this quartette held them this afternoon and received a good number of laughs. 15 minutes. POLK & TRESK: GRR-2: Full stage. Two men, acrobats and equilibrists. In place of Schenck Bros. who cancelled. They do some clever balancing. At the price it is an excellent act, although not as finished as Schenck Bros. 7 minutes. BIOGRAPH:- Drop 1, 20 minutes. "The Otter Hunt": Good, "Paris from the Seine": Good, "Rain dance of the Navajo Indians": Good, "Life of a race horse": Good, "The Genglemen Highwaymen": Rather fakey; good photographically. NOTE:- The show is a good one from start to finish; not a weak act on the bill. The Mortons are the big laughing hit. We will be quite lucky if the show lasts the week out, as Mitchell of the 3 Mitchells and Paul Morton are both sick. S. K. HODGDON. .....o.....
