59 Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., week of January 23, 1905. (Charles Lovenberg, Manager.) The show is an exceptionally good one. Most interesting from start to finish; plenty of good comedy without cheap slap-stick stuff and I look for a very good week's business. Watson & Hill. Two clean young looking young men in some clever song and dance work. Good three a day act. 10 min. in one. Shungopavi. Moki Indian in magic and a little talking. He has a very magnetic manner and with his broken English pleases the audience thoroughly the magic end of it amounts to little. Because of its novelty it makes a good three a day act. He did 23 minutes today, I shall have the act cut down to 18. Chick. Tramp bicyclist. Most of the work is done on one wheel. Very good 3 a day act. 10 min. full stage. Brown & Nevarro. Well known colored team giving some clever character work. While very good, I think these people should give us some new stuff. Some of the characters, Brown has been doing for some years now. [12?] min. in one, 2 shows. Horace Vinton and Eda Clayton. In a dramatic comedy sketch entitled "BILL CASEY, BURGLAR". This is a very good vehicle and quite well played. Thoroughly satisfactory to go on in the very early two a day section and exceptionally good for a three a day act. 20 min. full stage, 3 shows. Dixon and Anger. Talking comedians, one Dutch the other straight. Some new stuff, some so old that it appears now. Good act. 15 min. in one, 2 shows. Scott Brothers. Equilibrists. As they have been over the circuit I need only say that they went very well. 9 min. full stage, 2 shows. Grace Cameron. This young woman went exceptionally well today. She has a turn of songs including costume changes. The only part of her act I didn't like was that her costumes are not as nice as they should be. She has an exceptionally good voice and a dainty manner and a good idea of clean comedy. Her little Baby song and Dolly Dimples went exceptionally well. 18 min. in one, 2 shows. Dolan & Lenharr. In their sketch "Taking Chances", first time in this house and first time for these people in five years. Went very strong. 29 min. full stage, 2 shows. Liquid Air. I am putting this act on late in the afternoon and advertising the fact in order to attract the college students and High school pupils. In spite of the late hour, he held the audience with interest all through the act and got a good round of applause at the finish. I am sure the act is a valuable one to play once around. 27 min. in 2, can work in one, 2 shows.
