78 NEW YORK CRITICISM: FEBRUARY 6th, 1905: THE EDGARTONS:- Man and woman. Aerial trapeze artists. Using incandescent lamps on both sides of the rigging, making the apparatus rather attractive. The work is ordinary. Good opening act. 8 Mins. Full stage, 3 shs. FRASER TRIO:- Two men and a woman. Character novelty dancers. Excellent dancers, splendid act for the top of the bill. Full stage, close in one about 2 mins. 15 Mins. 3 shs. LUTZ BROTHERS:- Two men, one armless. The armless man is a wonder. Gives a little exhibition of how easy it is to work with his feet, saws and chops wood, plays musical instruments, and does some very clever sharp shooting. The act is novel, rather museum, although went big. Full stage, 18 Mins. 3 shows. BARRY & WILSON:- Two young men, singing, dancing and a little talking. The singing is fair, the talking bad, the dancing lets them out. Drop in 1, 11 Mins. 3 shows. RUSSELL & TILLYNE:- Man and woman, in an acrobatic comedy singing and dancing. They both do some clever acrobatic work. Splendid act for the three-a-day section. 14 Mins. with about 3 minutes in one. Drop in 2, 3 shows. PAPINTA:- This woman made her appearance for the second week in a cream spot on the bill without a hand. The applause for the dances were scattered. She ceases to be an attraction. Full stage, 15 minutes, 2 shows. RICE & PREVOST:- Monster applause when they appeared. Second week and went fully as strong as last week. One continual scream. Full stage, 11 minutes, 2 shows. FLOYE REDLEDGE:- This young woman was a total frost here to-day; they would not have her. She was guyed in some parts of the house. Her costumes are excellent, enunciation bad, voice fair. Will change her to the top of the bill. Drop in 1, 9 minutes, 3 shows. FRANK KEENAN & CO:- Consisting of Frank Keenan and two women, presenting the comedy "The Actor and the Count". Well known over the circuit. Plenty of laughs throughout, although not as strong as before. Third time here for this act; should give us something new before another engagement. Full stage, 27 minutes, 2 shows. ELIZABETH M. MURRAY:-With some new songs and a few new stories. Scored immensely with her monologue. Drop in 1, 13 M. 2 shows. BIOGRAPH:--"Bright Angel [???] "The Accommodating Magician": Good, "Sports of Old Rome", Gladiator scene, Good, "Baby's Day": Scene in the life of a baby as a two-year old, showing 7 scenes, Good, "In the Face of Death" Automobilists in Florida, Good.
