79 PHILADELPHIA SHOW, FEB. 6TH'05. H. A. DANIELS. MORTON & DIAMOND-KR-3-Man and woman, singing, dancing and comedy act. Man tries to impersonate Johnny Ray. Act is lively and all right for an opener. 22 mins. C.D.F. 3 Close in one. YACKLAY & BUNNELL-KH-3-Two men, comedy musical act, both working white face, one straight, other as comedian. The change from blackface does not improve the comedy. Good musical act for the three show division. 14 mins. C.D.F. in 3. Close in one. NESSEN & NESSEN-KR-3-Two young men, club jugglers and hoop rollers. A good little three show sight act for the money. 10 mins. Gar in 5. INMAN & HALL-GYR-3-Two men, talking act, dressed as tourists. Their first joke was "My Brother" that has been barred because of the moss on it. Their burlesque duel is good. Whole act fair for three show section. 14 mins. in one. VALVENO BROS-NR-3-Two men, hand-to-hand balancers and acrobats. A very good three show act for the price, although rather short. 9 mins. Gar. in 4. Close in one. LA VINE, CIMERON TRIO-YRR-2-Two men and a woman, acrobatic comedy and dancing. A good lively act, but they get every cent they're worth. Nothing unusual--a few flip-flaps and a few good falls by the comedian. 11 mins. C.D.F. in 3. O'BRIEN & HAVEL. Put in at the last minute because Burke-LaRue fell down. O'Brien is not working with Havel, but has one of the Lawrence Sisters with him. They present Will Cressy's sketch "Ticks and Clicks." The audience seemed to like it and laughed heartily. Personally, I can't see a great deal of the alleged comedy. Good act. 24 mins. C.D.F. in 3. VILLAGE CHOIR-YRR-2-Two men and two women. Straight singing act--dressed as farm boys and milkmaids. Very good act. Every number liberally applauded. 18 mins. in one. TROBA-GNH-2-Heavyweight juggler. First time here. He presented a very good act for the money. We featured him and he made good. He does a great many of Cinquevalli's tricks, and the audience didn't seem to know the difference. A very good act. 15 mins. Pal. in 5. DILLON BROS.-YRR-2-Parodies and sayings. These young men bring along something new every trip. Their parodies are very good, and they seem to possess the necessary cleverness to present them to the best advantage. Went very well. Received advance applause. 20 mins. in one. EDMUND DAY & CO.-YHR-2-Presenting "The Sheriff" for the first time here. It has been said that Day is a better author than he is actor. He has a good sketch in "The Sheriff," a big dramatic in spots, some comedy, but interesting throughout. It's good for a change, and seems to serve every purpose. Good act, with a pathetic ending. 25 mins. Spec. Set. THREE DUMONDS-YHR-2-Well known vocal and instrumental act. Have played the circuit a number of times. Always seem to go well in a stiff place. 20 mins. in one. one as comedian. Good act for the early two show bill. 18 mins. C.D.F. in 3. Close in one.
