83 CRITICISM NEW YORK SHOW: WEEK FEBY. 13, 1905: The show is one of the best we ever had, well balanced, full of good comedy and every act went good. O'Brien & Havel and Toozoonin Arabs making the biggest impression. BIOGRAPH:- "New Year's Day Fantastics": Showing the Parade of the Shooters of Philadelphia. Good. "An Acrobatic Automobile": Novel, good, "The Beautiful Fountains", France, Good, "The Chauffer's Rival", Laughable, Good, "Welding the Big Ring", Westinghouse exhibit, Instructive, Good. 20 minutes. ROLTARE:- Card manipulator with a little magic. This fellow makes a good appearance, works in full dress. He only does a few tricks and does them well. He manages to get a lot of applause from a glass face clock that he uses, rather a novel trick. At the price he is all right for an early place. Can work in one, Drop 2, 17 minutes. DORA PELLETIER:- Mimic and Comedienne. Good personality, elegant costumes. Good voices with some clever imitations of Elfie Fay and Fay Templeton & etc. Fully capable of going further down on the bill. Good act. Dp. 1, 12 M. MEAKIN, LAWRENCE & MASTER DALE:- Two men and a boy. This is Meakin, formerly Meakin & McCarty, who played the circuit. Master Dale is the boy who played with Francelli & Lewis. Lawrence don't amount to much. One man and the boy impersonates wenches, the other straight. The act consists of talking, singing and dancing. They are all good dancers. Compelled to cut out some of the boy's singing on account of a cold. The act is good and all right for an early place. Dp. 1, 16 minutes. [BARNETT? BARRETT?] & BELLE:- Man and woman in a comedy, entitled "The Policeman and the Maid". They introduce singing and dancing specialties. The woman is rather attractive, and has a pretty fair voice. The man is a good dancer. The act contains some laughs and is all right for an early place. 12 minutes. MURPHY & WILLARD:- Man and woman in a singing and talking comedy. The act is the same as seen here before, not a new line. They made them laugh here this afternoon, but did not make the impression they did before. Full stage, close in one, 20 minutes. S.K. HODGDON.
