91 GRAND OPERA HOUSE Feb. 13th, 05. PITTSBURG, PA. MARIE LAURENT- 3 shows. 12 minutes. Olio in one. This is a very fair three a day singing act and is going very well with our house. DOHERTY'S POODLES-3 shows. 15 minutes in wood, full stage. This act always does well for us. I think it would make a good opening act for any bill. GREENE & WERNER-15 minutes. Open in one, close full stage, special set. "Babes in the Jungle". This is a very good act and Mr. Greene's coon singing is far above the average. The act is a novelty and goes very big with our audience. MOORE & LITTLEFIELD-20 minutes. Close in one. This act is well known on the circuit but I think it is improved very much since their last appearance here. They carry an extra man now and I think it improves the act quite a little. KAUFMANN TROUPE-Bicycle act. 15 minutes, garden, full stage. This is without a doubt the best bicycle act in the business. WALTER C. KELLY-Monologue with Irish and coon stories. This is Mr. Kelly's first appearance here and he is going very well with us. I do not hesitate to say that he goes fully as well as some acts that we have played that get a great deal more money. PETER DAILEY and his Eight Lulu Girls assisted by Mr. Alfred Fisher in "The Police Inspector". Mr. Dailey does not seem to go very bit with our audience. While the act is not great, I cannot say that it is bad and I really think that our patrons expect too much from him. Our business this week, in spite of the very cold weather, is very good, it being the biggest week we have had for some time so I feel sure that Mr. Dailey is responsible for some of this business. HILL & WHITAKER-Musical entertainers -coon singing, banjo and harp playing. this act is more than making good with us. The coon singing of Miss Whitaker is as good as I have ever heard. She carries a beautiful harp and the act taken as a whole is very good. I wish we had more acts of the kind in vaudeville. RYAN & RICHFIELD in their sketch, "Mike Haggerty's Daughter". Time of act 24 minutes. Kitchen in three. This is one of the best laugh getting sketches we have played this season. It is away from all others and goes big from opening until close. EMPIRE CITY QUARTETTE-18 minutes in one. Olio. This act is going very big with us. I consider it among the best quartettes in the business. OLLIE YOUNG & BRO. Hoop rollers, 10 minutes, full stage, garden This is a very neat act and goes very well with our patrons. ARMETA & BURKE-3 shows. 12 minutes in three. Garden in two. Lady gymnast assisted by Jas. Burke. This is a very fair act in the three a day section. KINETOGRAPH-"The Suburbanite". J.P. Harris.
