94 Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of Febr. 20, 1905. (Chas. Lovenberg, Manager.) The show while not containing any particular feature that would tend to draw business because of its name of attractiveness as a whole plays very well, in fact, among the best we have had this season. Whether or not it will draw remains to be seen. The small end of the show is particularly good. I don't know when I played so many good acts in the three a day section. Lawrence Crane. Well known magician, who has played our circuit and has improved his act materially in the way of a handsome black velvet curtain and some new elaborate wardrobe. An act that is really too good to open the show and would be thoroughly all right for four or five on any bill. 18 min. in one, 3 shows. Meaken, Lawrence & Dale. While this act is not at all bad I was a little disappointed in it as it doesn't contain as much merit as I thought. It is a blackface act of singing and dancing by two men and a boy and I rather got the impression that the boy was of exceptional talent which he is not. 16 min. in one, 3 shows. Frazer Trio. International dancers. These people do a good act, the girl of the troupe being an exceptionally graceful and finished dancer. Went very strongly with the audience. [14?] min. open in 3, close with about 2 min. in one, 3 shows. Murphy & Willard. Sketch team well known over the circuit who are doing exactly the same act they have always done and which I wouldn't care to repeat unless they did three shows, or something of that kind. 18 min. open 3, close in one, 2 shows. Lutz Brothers. Containing the work of principally one armless man assisted by his brother. The feats which this armless man performs are really remarkable and the act scored very strongly. 17 min. full stage, 3 shows. Dick Lynch. This man has an act which from the three a day standpoint is exceptionally good and can be placed with satisfaction in the early two a day section, say up to 8:30. He opens with the Burlesque illustrated songs and tells a number of new stories (Note! New!) and finished with some clog dancing in which we all know he excels. 18 min. in one, 3 shows. Mlle. Martha. For the amount of money paid, this is probably the most attractive lady trapezist we have. 13 min. full stage, 2 shows. Louise Dresser. While Miss Dresser is not a wonderful artist she has a most charming personality and is decidedly pleasing to look upon. She knows how to get away with a song and she scored a decided hit this afternoon. 12 min. in one, 2 shows. Techow's Cats. This act is too well known to require comment other than to say, that it is all [right?] worth money from the standpoint of drawing matinee audiences. 15 min. full stage, 2 shows.
