95 Boston Show, Week of Feb. 20, 1905. Stereopticon, 3 shows, 10 min. in 1 -- Usual selections of interesting home and foreign views. The Patricolas, 3 shows, 14 min. full stage -- Italian man and boy, playing on musical instruments, the boy adding vocal and dancing specialties, made up in blackface. It makes an excellent 3-show turn, and got a lot of applause today. Curtis and May, 3 shows, 16 min. in 1 -- Young man and woman, in comedy, vocal and dancing specialties. First rate act for the 3-show division. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kelcey, 2 shows, 21 min. full stage - Presenting for the first time here a new sketch, "An Eventful Evening," which went good and bad in spots. Not satisfied with their place in the bill, they quit, alleging that Mrs. Kelcey was ill. Never tremendously strong here, two and eight o'clock being their absolute limit, so we can very easily go along without them in the future. Mlle. Latina, 3 shows, 10 min. in 1 -- Acrobatic contortionist; the best in the business. Made a hit, as always in this city. Could be placed anywhere in the bill in this house. Tom O'Brien and Miss Lawrence, 2 shows, 24 min. full stage -- First time in two years, presenting the comedy sketch, "Ticks and Clicks", which they played on the occasion of their last engagement here. It has been brightened up considerably and Miss Lawrence is an improvement on Clara Havel, who was growing too stout for good work. Scored one of the laughing hits of the show. In fact, a burlesque telephone scene was a perfect scream, and his tumbling at the finish won them three recalls. Slater and Williams, 2 shows, 13 min. in 1 -- "real coon" comedians, singers and dancers. Not so good as some other teams we have played, but they won out at that, and finished strong. William Potter and Effie Hartwell, 2 shows, 10 min. full stage -- In a really wonderful exhibition of head balancing, which was applauded from start to finish. Excellent act, especially for Boston. Elizabeth Murray, 2 shows, 10 min. in 1 -- If I remember rightly, I passed on Miss Murray the last time she played here, as being "done" for Boston. She was probably the frostiest act in the show today. She has gone forward in the matter of costumes but as a vocalist and storyteller, she has reversed this operation. Comment - The show is a corking good one from start to finish. Like that of last week, it has not a dull nor uninteresting act in it, although it does not offer the number of contrasts and the two holdovers naturally weakened it a trifle when it comes to a matter of comparison. On the whole, however, it made as big a hit as that of last week, the immense and enthusiastic
