99 PHILADELPHIA SHOW, FEB. 27TH'05 [1905] H. A. DANIELS. MILDRED GILMORE-HR-3-Vocalist, singing coon songs. Placed about right, in this spot. Cut out the parody on "Come Take A Trip in My Airship"--it's a vulgar song. 12 mins. in one. REED & SHAW-GRR-3-Two men, swinging ring act. Have improved since last visit here. A very good three show act. Have new trappings and some new stunts. 13 mins. Gar. in 4. CURTIS & MAY-NR-3-Man and woman, singing and dancing act. Man of the old team of Curtis & Adams, Dutch comedians. Woman can't sing. Cut out song about wooden leg. Cut out woman's sentence "I laid the egg." Act is too coarse for a Keith house. 17 mins. in one. FEMALE DRUMMER QUARTETTE-GYH-3-Four men, colored quartette. Good vocal act for the early bill. 14 mins. C.D.F. in 3. Close in one. JOHN ZIMMER-NH-3-Juggler, working straight. His big specialty is the bounding balls. A good, lively three show act. One of the cleverest straight jugglers in vaudeville. 9 mins in one. MR. & MRS. EDWARD ESMONDE-GHR-2-Sketch "The Soldier of Propville." A clever little dialogue, humorous and pathetic in spots. A good 8 o'clock act. Was very well received by the audience this afternoon. 21 mins. Kitchen in 3. Special Back Drop. DIXON & HOLMES-GYH-3-Two men, descriptive vocalists. Quite a good three show act. Their work seemed to be appreciated. Closed very strong. 20 mins. in one. SIX MUSICAL CUTTYS-HRR-2-Three men and three women. Well known musical act. Probably as good as any in vaudeville. Three encores. A hit. 21 mins. Palace in 5. Close in one. PARKER'S DOGS-GYH-2-The best dog act we have ever had. This act has improved since last here. The best and most thoroughly trained troupe of dogs we have ever had in this house. 9 mins. Gar. in 4. MARION GARSON-GRR-2-Quite a young girl. Has a wonderful voice for one of her age. As good a vocalist as we have had here in a long time. Good act. 10 mins. in one. PETER F. DAILEY & CO.-KRR-2-Sketch "The Police Inspector." Ten people. Peter Dailey received a hand on his entrance, and some of his individual work was applauded. The Lu Lu Girls amount to very little. Dailey's name may draw some money. 25 mis. C.D.F. in 3. FRED NIBLO-YHR-2-Monologue. First time in this house. Delivered the same monologue word for word that I heard him give five years ago. Went very well, with frequent and hearty laughter. 15 mins. in one. THREE YOSCARYS-YHR-2-Three men, acrobats and hand balancers, introducing some very bad foreign comedy. Their real acrobatic work was applauded. Good act. 11 mins. Gar. in 3.
