106 Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I. Week of March 6, 1905. (Charles Lovenberg, Manager.) The show as a whole is an exceptionally good one. Every act other than Wyman and Ross giving the best of satisfaction. Wyman & Ross. Dutch act. Two men with some fairly good material which they do not know how to deliver. All right to open the show. [18?] min. in 1, 3 shows. Drummer Quartette. Well known on the circuit doing the same act they have always given us. 14 min. open in three, close in one, 3 shows. Zimmer. Juggler. This is one of the best little acts we play. Good enough to get into the early two a day section and make good. 10 min. in one, 3 shows. Burton & Brooks. These men have a new idea, in a way, of a talking act; some new material and a good manner of delivery. A good act for the early two a day section. 23 min. open full stage, close in one, 2 shows. Edmund Day & Co. In his sketch "The Sheriff". Day is not a great actor and always has poor support but he has a mighty good sketch and if not placed in a difficult position on the program, will always reach. 27 min. full stage, 2 shows. Carmen Sisters. Banjoists. Two good looking young women who play the banjos fairly well. 8 min. in one, 3 shows. Madame Herrmann. This act is so well known as to require no great comment. She has some new tricks and the act, all in all, is a very beautiful one. 23 min. full stage, 2 shows. Quinlan & Mack. Although these two men are using the oldest of new material, a great portion of it being the act formerly done by Monroe and Mack, ten years ago and the rest of it, jokes even older than that, they manage to make quite a laughing hit although they close to no applause whatever. If they had some good material it would be a "dandy" act as Mack is really a funny blackface comedian. The act is worth playing however. 10 min. in one, 2 shows. Howard's Ponies & Dogs. This man is entitled to a world of credit for keeping up the standard of his act and improving from season to season. This year he introduces a number of new tricks by the animals, some very handsome wardrobe and trappings, and an effective scene of his own. A very strong act. 18 min. full stage, 2 shows. Village Choir. Like all good singing acts (in this house) this one made the applause hit of the show. Their quaint manner of presenting the old songs, rather well sung, is bound to reach an audience of refinement. 17 min. in one, 2 shows. Four Huntings. These people did the very same act they did last year, probably slightly improved. Were a big laughing success. 20 min. open 3, close 1, 2 shows Hill & Sylvany. Although handicapped by the non-arrival of some of his apparatus, these people went very strongly. They do a thrilling act and one that is bound to create talk. 10 min. full stage, 2 shows.
