The Dollar Troupe, 2 shows, 11 min. full stage -- One of the best acrobatic and tumbling organizations that has ever played the house. A big applause hit from start to finish. Five men, one woman and a boy, all working in full dress. Maddox and Prouty, 2 shows, 18 min. in 1 -- In the comedy talking sketch, "The Messenger and the Thespian." The laughing hit of the show. Personally, I don't care much for the act, but the "grand jury", up and downstairs, was a unite in its favor -- and that goes. Albert Chevalier, 2 shows, 30 min. in 1 -- In his artistic character songs. Got a hearty advance reception and all his selections were enthusiastically encored. Retained the best of last week's repertoire, but added three new selections, all of which scored a hit. Jiu Jitsu, 2 shows, 13 min. full stage -- A company of five Japs, in a lively demonstration of the "gentle art." Proved tremendously interesting and will unquestionably draw money. Biograph, 3 shows, 20 min. in 1 -- Showing the following list of motion pictures: 1. Gov. Douglas and Staff leaving the State House. Interesting, locally. 2. Down Bright Angel Trail. Interesting picture; excellent photographically. 3. The Accomodating Magician. One of the best subjects of the kind we have ever shown. 4. Sports of Old Rome. Mildly interesting. 5. "Tom, Tom, the Piper's Son Stole a Pig and Away He Run." Excellent picture every way, and scored a laughing and applause hit. Comment - The house was filled in every part, and the audience enthusiastically appreciative, easy to arouse to applause or laughter. As a consequence, the show went with a rush from top to bottom. There is not a really poor act in the program and our big business should continue interruptedly. Colby and Way were out, through the illness of Miss Way, and tonight I am adding the acrobatic comedy team of Kelly and Reno, which will strengthen the show materially in the only spot where it needs it. Some little inconvenience was caused through the fact that I supposed that the Theo Morse trio was booked for 3 shows, and they only have a contract for 2. They were very nice about it, doing the extra show today in order not to put me in a hole, but I do not think they are of two-show value, and would not want them again on such terms.
