132 CRITICISM - - CLEVELAND, O. - - March 27,th, 1905. THE FOUR RIANOS, in a comedy, novelty and acrobatic act "In Africa" Outside of a few little things which are a trifle coarse and rough, and which I had cut out, this has the making of a very good act. The comedy situations in it are very good. The acrobatic stuff of the woman is far above the average. With a few changes it would be good for any place on any bill. Time 15 minutes, full stage, special set. THEODORE MORSE TRIO, Singing. This is a straight singing act, singing their own compositions. It's going very well here. If required, they can work in one. They have a piano on the stage, and don't use the orchestra at all. Time 15 minutes full stage. MR. & MRS. JIMMY BARRY, in a comedy skit entitled "A Skin Game" This is a fairly good act. Nothing startling about it, but the imitations and situations are the best part of the act. They open in full stage in C. D. F., and close about 6 minutes in one. time 18 minutes. TOBIN SISTERS, Musical act. This is a good, high-class, pleasing number. Their appearance, however, has much to do in carrying them along. As to their musical ability, $25 off of their salary would be about right. Time 15 minutes full stage, with 3 minutes in one. DIDA, THE CREATION OF WOMAN FROM NOTHING. This is a facsimile of the act that has been at Hammerstein's for the past three or four months. The act is a very good one, and is certainly mystifying. Mr. Heineman, the party who owns the act is here, but he has a man with him that introduces the act who is more suitable for a dime museum than a first-class vaudeville house. I insisted on Heineman making the announcements himself, which gave more tone to the act. With the other party doing it, just killed it. time 8 minutes full stage. WALTER C. KELLEY, "The man Behind The Fun". This is one of the best monologues, from an artistic stand-point, that we've ever had in this house. He's a credit to the vaudeville business, and it's too bad we haven't more of them. Time 21 minutes full stage. CARTER DEHAVEN SEXTETTE, in a miniature production entitled "An Easy Angel" This act has been over the circuit, and has played every house, so comment is unnecessary. It is a good act. Time 30 minutes full stage, in an exterior, with some special scenery. AERIAL SMITHS, Trapeze Performers. This is one of the best acts in the business, and is entitled to big type on any bill. I'm closing the show with them, and they are the talk of the town. Time 10 minutes full stage. AMERICAN BIOGRAPH. I am running two pictures this week - "I Want My Dinner" and The Nihilists. Both good films. Time 10 minutes. L. M. EIRICK.
