146 TEMPLE THEATRE DETROIT, MICH., APRIL 10. Criticism of J. H. Finn. HATHAWAY & WALTON- Man and woman. Excellent hard shoe dancers. A very good opening act. All in one 8 min. CHASSINO- A shadowgraphist without an equal. He uses both hands and feet, and his shadows on the canvas are remarkable. 13 min. F. S. BERT LESLIE-ROBERT DAILY CO.- This act is a laugh from start to finish. Leslie's slang has the house in roars. There are three men and a woman in the act. The woman does a toe dance with spot light that is excellent. 14 F. S. 5 in 1. Les SALVAGGIS- Four Men and four women in a whirlwind dance that is very good, as it is life, dash and color every minute it holds the stage. While these acts as a rule do not make good here this one appears to have caught the fancy of the audiences. 10 min. F. S. EDWIN STEVENS- This excellent comedian and actor who has just closed as leading man with Henrietta Crossman went very strong with his monologue. He held the full stage 17 minutes and closed in one 10 minutes which I consider is too long for any monologue turn. DIDA- Or the Creation of Woman out of Nothing. This is the greatest sensation we ever staged, and will be the talk of the town. There is really no explanation offered by the audience as to how the women get in the glass tank of water. This act alone would draw money. 9 min. F. S. HILL AND WHITAKER- This is one of the best singing and instrumental acts in the business. The "team" now carries a harp which Miss Whitaker plays skilfully [skillfully]. The singing of Miss Whitaker is the feature. 12 min. in one. JOHN T. KELLY & CO. Presenting "Senator McFee." While this old-time farce closed the show it went very strong and held the audience to the very end. Comedian Kelly is an acquisition to good, clean vaudeville, and he will draw considerable money. 27 min. F. S. This is one of the best shows we have ever staged. It goes with a snap and sparkle that is refreshing, and there is not a word or line in it that the most prudish could take exception to.
