151 TEMPLE THEATER. Detroit, Mich., April 17, 1905. J. H. PINN. GEORGE AUSTIN COMEDY WIRE ACT. This is an excellent opening act but hardly strong enough to go down i the bill. 13 min. F. S. O. HANA SAN JAPANESE LIVING PICTURES. Just a fair act. Would not like to see it come back. 13 min. F. S. PAUL BARNES MONOLOGUE AND PARODIES. BARNES IS NOT THE BEST IN HIS LINE BY ANY MEANS. 17 min. in one. HERAS FAMILY ACROBATS The act consists of three men, two women and two boys, one of the latter dressed as a girl. This is an exceptionally good ground and lofty tumbling act, but not the best. 11 min. F. S. ADELE RAFTER PRIMA-DONNA CONTRALTO. Miss Rafter has an excellent voice and fine stage presence and wardrobe, but she hasn't the dash or chic of a Grace Cameron, and therefore does not appeal to all corners of the house. 12 min. in 1. ROBERT HILLIARD & CO PRESENTING "THE LITTLEST GIRL." Mr. Hilliard has depreciated the value of his act by substituting Earl Ryder for Mr. Holland who formerly appeared in the role of Carruthers. Ryder is a throaty actor, without the clear anunciation or artistic pose of Holland. The playlet has lost its drawing power here. I am of the opinion that Hilliard should have a better actor in his new playlet "As a Man Sows" or it will never do for an engagement of two consecutive weeks. THE FRANCIOS MENTAL TELEPATHISTS. This act will cause some talk and may prove to be a drawing card. Their work is certainly mysterious and defies explanation. 17 in one. ZAZELL AND VERNON COMEDY BAR ACT. This is a very good acrobatic comedy act but hardly the kind to close a show. It would be much better farther up in the bill. 15 min. F. S.
