171 New York Criticism May 8th, 1905. Leonard and Drake Man and woman, comedy animal imitators. There is not much to this act, merely a fair opener. They manage to secure some applause on the finish with their "cat Duett Full stage, close in one, three shows, fifteen minutes. Delmore & Oneida Man and woman, in a perch act. Artistic posing. Well known over the circuit. Always manage to secure a lot of applause. Drapery in one, three shows, twelve minutes. Mignani Family Four men, "Musical Barbers" Quite a novel idea, each number received a big lot of applause. Responded to several encores. Fully capable of holding down a better place. Full stage, with a short encore in one, fifteen minutes, three shows. Geo. E. Austin The Comedian on the slack wire. I think this fellow gave us the best act of his life to-day. He received some advance applause and managed to make them laugh during his entire performance. An excellent three-a-day number. Full stage, three shows, fourteen minutes. Davis and Walker Colored man and woman. Received the strongest applause up to this time, they both have pretty fair voices, the man is a clever dancer and his work was appreciated. Compelled to take several encores on his dancing. Drop in one, three shows, eleven minutes. Chassino Shadowgraphist and the best on the American stage. Applause and continual laughs throughout. Second time here and fully as strong as before. Full stage, thirteen minutes, two shows. "A night in Venice" Two men and a woman, in a very pretty singing number, carrying their own scenery. Each selection was liberally applauded. Responded to several encores. Very pleasing number. Full stage, two shows, eleven minutes. Grace Leonard First time here for this young woman, billed as the "American Vesta Tilley" in vocal character changes. Has a pleasing personality, good voice and received a big lot of applause after each character. Fully able to go down further in the programme. Drapery in one, three shows, fifteen minutes. Dida A great many left when this act was announced. Will close the show with it to-night, what remained seemed to be interested. A great illusion. Full stage, nine minutes, two shows. Cliff Gordon This man has a lot of new material and I fully believe he went stronger to-day than ever before, they laughed Biograph Twenty minutes Police Parade 1905 Good The Athletic Girl Fair Her Brother Good How Jones lost his bank roll The novel manner in which the names of the scenes of this film are announced received quite a lot of laughs and applause Good None are so blind as those who won't see Good.
