183 New York Criticism May 29, 1095 Alexis and Schall Man and woman, making a pretty fair appearance, with singing, talking, dancing and some contortion work. The singing and talking or dancing don't amount to much, the man's contortion work is the strong hold, for which he received a big lot of applause. Good three show act, eleven minutes in one. Morton and Diamond Their billing reads "in their one-act farce "My Brother's Reception". It certainly is a "FARCE" A genuine old fashioned rough Irish comedy, without any merit. Just about capable to open the show Sixteen minutes full stage. John Healy Has the same old material as when he started along five years ago. About time he had something new. Received a few laughs in spots. Fifteen minutes in one. Belle Gordon "The Athletic Girl" Physical culture exhibition for women. Received the first applause of the day. An elegant act. Seventeen minutes, full stage close in one about three minutes. Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy Barry In their comedy "A skin game" First time here this season. The man is a clever comedian, never could see the woman. Received scattered laughs. Closed very tame. Twenty-three minutes, with about three minutes in one, two shows. Frederick Voelker Violinist, assisted by Mrs. Voelker. First time here. A thorough musician, each selection strongly applauded. Held the audience to the finish, something unusual for the Square. Twenty-four minutes full stage. Terley "The Plastic Figure" An extreme novelty. First time here and went exceedingly well, considering they have played the town before. Ten minutes full stage. Reno & Richards Comedy acrobats. Have a lot of new business. Give a funny burlesque exhibition of a base-ball game, which amuses the audience. Continual laughter throughout. Open in two, close on full stage, with encore in one, nineteen minutes. Edwin Stevens Clever versatile comedian, in his original entertainment "A night out" Received some advanced applause. The act is practically the same as when last presented, with a few new stories. Continual laughter throughout, closed strong. Twenty-one minutes, opens in full stage, closes in one. Alice Davenport & Co The company includes Alice Davenport, a man, two women and a little boy, presenting the one-act Biograph The Crystal Casket Good The Bigimist " The Deadwood Sleeper " Novel
