New York Criticism continued entitled "Now" The plot deals with a social difficulty. Mrs. Davenport playing the part of a French-woman and is very clever. The act is entirely dramatic, the company excellent. Intensely interesting and should make a hit over the circuit, more so in Philadelphia, where Mrs. Davenport with her husband controlled the Girard Avenue Theatre for several seasons. Received two curtain calls this afternoon and I believe it will go much stronger to-night. Nineteen minutes full stage, two shows. Julien Eltinge "The Male Vesta Tilley" Received a bit lot of advance applause. Clever artist, better than Stuart. Without suggestion, very graceful, perfect mannerisms, artistic dancer. Hit of the show. Took four bows on the finish. Nine minutes, opens in one, closes on full stage. Paul Barnes Monologue. Has some new material, held them this afternoon in this place and received a big lot of laughs. Fourteen minutes in one. La-Vine-Cimeron Trio Two men and a woman, in a clever dancing and acrobatic number. The woman is an excellent soft show dancer and received a big round of applause for her work and the men are clever. acrobats. They work quick. Ten minutes full stage.
