193 Criticism New York June 12th, 1905. ST. JOHN & LEFEVRE Man and woman, singing, dancing and a few imitations. The same act as presented here before, always goes well here and an excellent three show act. Fourteen minutes in one. NIELO & RILEY Two men, white and black-face. Singing dancing and talking comedy. Singing and talking don't amount too much. Received a big lot of applause for their eccentric dancing. Good act for the three a day class. Thirteen minutes, full stage, close in one. Stone & Lynn Two young men, club juggling, with a little bag punching. Club juggling very ordinary, received some applause for the bag punching. Good opening act. Twelve minutes full stage. WILLIE GARDNER There is a little bit of novelty to this young man's act. Dancing on roller and ice skates. Greatly appreciated throughout. Nine minutes in one, three shows. NORMAN D. STELL Under the impression this young man's voice was rather phenomenal, to the contrary, it is unnatural, weak and sounds more like imitation. Received very little applause. Eleven minutes in one, two shows. MITCHELL & CAIN Two men, talking comedy. Some new material. Plenty of laughs, always goes well here. Received the biggest lot of applause up to this time, took three bows on their finish. Twenty minutes in one, three shows. WILL ROGERS Lasso manipulator. This man gies us a genuine novelty. The act is on the style of the Chamberlains, but far superior. Lassos a horse and rider, while going at good speed across the stage. Big applause all through the act. Full stage, can close in one, three shows, ten minutes. VAN ALSTYNE & HENRY Singing comedy. Received a big lot of advance applause. Van Alstyne scored big with his piano playing. Louise Henry is only a fair singer, looks attractive and being the "Sal Skinner Gal" lets her out. They received quite a number of laughs in spots, but closed very weak. Twenty-three minutes in two, two shows. EMMA FRANCIS with her Arabian Whirlwinds. Singing, dancing and a little acrobatic. work. The boys are clever and received big applause all through their acrobatic work. Miss Francis dancing went big. They all work fast, full of ginger. Received a lot of applause on the finish. Nine minutes full stage, two shows. [over lap page] .....acrobatic pantomine "The Elopement" One of the best acts they have ever given us, one continual laugh from start to finish, elegant closing act. Fifteen minutes, close in one about three minutes. Two shows. BIOGRAPH The Life of a miner Rather serious, but interesting, for a fake picture it is very good. The Insolvent Guest Comedy good.
