Criticism New York Continued. SEARL & VIOLET ALLEN In their talking comedy skit "The Sign Painter" The material in this act is about the same as when last presented. They scored fully as strong as before and held this place down in good shape. Fifteen minutes in one, two shows. HENRY V. DONNELLY Assisted by a woman, in the farce "Mr. & Mrs. Nagg" First appearance, received a bit lot of advance applause. The idea is that of a nagging married couple. Donnelly is a clever comedian. The business in the act don't amount too much, the success depends solely on the lines some of which are funny and laughable in spots. This being the first presentation I believe the act will improve daily. Twenty-three minutes, full stage, two shows. HOEY & LEE Two men, Hebrew comedians, and two of the best we have had here for some time. All new and good material. Sang four parodies on their opening and they wanted more. Big hit. Seventeen minutes in one, two shows. ZAZELL-VERNON CO In an acrobatic pantomime "The Elopement" One of the best acts they have ever given us, one continual laugh from start to finish, elegant closing act. Fifteen minutes, close in one about three minutes. Two shows. BIOGRAPH The Life of a miner Rather serious, but interesting, for a fake picture it is very good The Insolvent Guest Comedy good.
