195 TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICH. June 19, 1905-J. H. Finn. 17 min. in one. MURPHY & FRANCES-Colored man and woman in a singing, dancing and comedy act that is fully up to the average of colored acts of this kind. 17 min. F. S. CHAS. E. COLBY & ALLIE C. WAY-Presenting "the ventriloquist and the dancing doll." This is a fairly good act, the ventriloquist of Colby being the feature. 8 min. in 3. JUGGLING McBANS-This duo of club jugglers is without question the best in this line. Their club casting is remarkable and always brings considerable applause even from hot-weather audiences. 10 min. in one. LAURA MILLARD-This woman has an educated voice which cannot be said of many straight singers in vaudeville. Her selection of songs is good, and on the whole she made a favorable impression. 17 min. F. S. 5 in one. MARTINI & MAXMILLIAN-Although this act if pretty near worn out it appeared to please out summer patrons, and it received a fair share of applause. 18 min. F. S. NINA MORRIS, ARTHUR HOOPS & CO.-Offering a travesty of melodrama entitled "A Friend's Advice." While Miss Morris has all the requisites for vaudeville, and while her vehicle is excellent for burlesque talent her support was very bad. 18 min. F. S. CHARLEY CASE-This well known blackface comedian created a sensation by presenting a new line of material which was excellent in every way. 17 min. F. S. FIVE VALDARES-Man, woman, boy and two girls in a good bicycle act that compares favorably with the best in this line of work.
