[page] 201 TEMPLE THEATRE, DETROIT MICH Week June 26th, 1905 J. H. FINN RAE & BENEDETTO- Clown and contortionist in an earial revolving ladder act that does very well for an opening act. 10 mins. F.S. CAROLYN YOUNG:- A rather unattractive young woman in a whistling specialty of more of less merity-- the way one likes such things. 15 mins. one VALVERO:- I an act called "The Bombardment of Pt. Arthur. This is the old lightning crayon artist act somewhat elaborated upon, but of no special merit. 11 mins. F.S. MAYME REMINGTON:- Again introducing her picks. This act always goes very well here. It is a rough singing and specialty act, nothing to object to particularly but it is inartistic and appeals to nearly everybody but the cultured. 11 mins. Close with Indian Tepee [illeg.] SMIRL & KESSNER:- The Bellboy and the Waiting maid. An excellent dancing and acrobatic act with comedy as a side line. It always goes very strong here as it should as Harry Smirl is one of the greatest acrobats in vaudeville and Rose Kessner is full of ginger. 11 mins. F.S. 7 in one YE COLONIAL SEPTETTE: Three pretty women and four men. This act is away above par. Their set is very rich, their singing, dancing and instrumental music very fine. The whole is artistic, rich, without being gaudy and gives full satisfaction in every way. 39 mins. F.S. Open and close with drop set. RICE & CADY: These German comedians had a soft spot in the bill and caught on big. But it is about time they were consulting somebody for new material. I min. in one. FOUR LIVINGSTONS:- Three women and a man in a rather passe acrobatic act. 10 mins. F.S. KINETOGRAPH:- WINTERSPORTS and "The WEDDIN" are very fine pictures.
