214 TEMPLE THEATRE, DETROIT, MICH. 214 Week of July 24, 1905 SCOTT & WILSON-"The Athlete and the Farmer". Opened our show and fully satisfied the audience for a starter. 9 mins. . S. NATE LEIPZIG--Coin, card and Billiard ball palmer. Hee has made wonderful improvement since his last appearance here. Is now one of the best we have ever had in this line of work. 15 mins. in two. LILLIAN APEL--Pianiste. This woman is very handsome and was accorded much applause at the finish. 12 mins. F. S. JOHN DONAHUE & MATTIE NICHOLS--This act is almost too well known for comment. Although it has appeared here before it was received a well as on former occasions. 14 mins. F. S. Can Close in one. 3 mins. JEHAN BEDINI & ARTHUR -- This act is also about too well known for comment. They went fully as well as on former occasions. 12 mins. F. S. 4 in one. HORSKY-BERGERE & CO. Consisting of Rudolph Horsky, a German actor, Leona Bergere, a French actress, a sister of Valerie Bergere and Roy Fairchild, who has appeared with Amelia Bingham in "The Climbers". Whioe there is nothing great about this sketch or about the people appearing in it, it got a good hand at the finish and eivdently pleased the audience. 18 mins. F. S. VIOLET DALE--Miss Dale has made wonderful progress since her last appearance here about a year ago. At that time she just graduated from the road company and appeared to be ill at ease. Now she is a thoroughly educated enterainer and went very strong. 12 mins. in 2. But can do her act in one. MOSHER, HOUGHTEN & MOSHER--Without question the best comedy bicycle ridingact we ever played for the money. The three men are fast and clever workers and the comedy is far better than is usually found in acts of this kind. 16 mins. F. S. KINETOGRAPH--The pictures "Raffles, the dog" and the Cresceus and Abbott Championship race are very good. Comment. this one of the best chea p shows ever booked in thi[s] theatre.
