224 New York Criticism New York Aug. 7th,1905. 224 BARNES & STOCKWELL Two men, singing and talking comedy "The Millionaires" Talking don't amount to much, rather stupid, no laughs, singing just about lets them out. Sixteen minutes in one, three shows. KIT KARSON Novel shooting while on the slack wire. Good applause throughout and interesting. Excellent three show act. Ten minutes, full stage. GEORGIA GALVIN Vocalist. While this young woman has only a fair personality, she has a remarkable well trained voice, good selections, elegant costumes. Eight minutes in one, three shows. AL BURTON Vocalist and Story teller. He makes a spledid appearance. Has a good lot of material, with a good voice. Received the largest amount of applause up to this time. Good three a day act. Thirteen minutes in one. LECLAIR & HARDT Burlesque strong men and acrobats. Excellent and a valuable act for the three show section. Received a big lot of laughs throughout, with strong applause on the finish. Thirteen minutes, full stage, three shows. WIORA TRIO Hungarian singers and dancers. Three young women, making a very pleasing appearance, they open with a Hungarian song, then sing a negro number and sin it fairly good, and finish with a Hungarian Gypsy dance, which went big this afternoon, they sing pretty fair and look nice. Nothing sensational to the act, merely a neat number, with a element of novelty to it. Nine minutes, full stage, two shows. CARSON & WILLARD These boys have the brightest lot of material they ever had. All new and original, it went with a howl this afternoon. Their dancing received a big lot of applause. Fourteen minutes, in one, two shows. BARRY & HALVERS Eccentric Comedy singing, dancing and talking. Barry impersonates a tramp and is a clever dancer, His impersonation of Bert Stone went very big. The woman is a fair singer and wears some elegant gowns. The act contains many laughs and easily the biggest laughing act in the show. Nineteen minutes full stage about three minutes in one, two shows. MONTAGUE'S COCKATOO CIRCUS Fairly well trained cockatoos, a little bit of novelty to this act. The fire-brigade scene was strongly applauded. Fourteen minutes, full stage. Paul Jones Big Applause Ruben at the Kinetograph show Fair Steeple Chase France Greatest racing picture we ever had. SHARPLEY & FLYNN Man and woman, Irish Comedy, very bad. Cancelled. ...the three a day class, although a good one. Would say about one hundred and three shows. Seventeen minutes, close in one five minutes.
