[page no.] 226 PHILADELPHIA SHOW AUG. 14th 1905. H. T. JORDAN [handwritten:] 226 THE PRAMPINS-3-Colored man and woman, regulation musical act playing on saxaphones, bells, coach-horns and cornets, woman introducing song with saxaphone obligato; attempt no comedy. While these people are not very good musicians they do a fair act, making a good opener. 15 mins. in 1. RUSSELL & TILLYNE-3-Baggage did not come in with them but expect them to work to-night. The act is well known over the circuit so will send no further criticism. LYRIC TRIO-3-Two men and a woman in high class vocal selections. These people are of a refined type, well dressed and sing very well indeed. While not in the same class with the Grand Opera Trio they may be accounted a desirable act, especially in the three-a-day section. Well applauded. 15 mins. drap. in 1. THE WILSONS-3-Man and woman in breakaway ladder act, the man working as a clown. The woman is quite attractive. As good a three-a-day ladder act as we have had in this house. Held the attention of the audience and good hand at the finish. 10 mins. house gar. in 4. BARRETT BROS.-3-Two men, Irish song and dance. These people are no better and no worse than a number of other acts on the same order that we have played. Appeared to amuse our audience this afternoon. Aroused a number of laughs, and some applause on the dancing. Not a bad act if on early. 12 mins. Adv. St. in 1. WIORA TRIO-3-Three women dressed in Hungarian costumes in Hungarian songs and dances. Sing one Hungarian song and also a coon song in English, finishing with the dancing. This act was something of a novelty to our patrons, holding their attention and being rewarded with a good hand at the finish. Good act. 12 mins. Rd. Lans. 4. Close in Lans. in 2. GALETTI'S MONKEYS-2-This act is well known on circuit. Best trained monkey act that we play and especially valuable on account of the comedy introduced, which is good. Laughter and applause hit of the show up this point. 15 mins. Red Gar. in 3.
