2. The Baker, the Rat and the Dough. Fairly good comedy film. 3. Casey's Dream. Just a fair picture. LeClaire and Hardt, 3 shows, 11 min. full stage -- Burlesque strong men acrobats. These people had them guessing for a while and they would do very well for an early 3-a-day spot. Murphy and Andrews, 3 shows, 18 min. in 1 -- Man and woman in talking and vocal comedy. Their burlesque on grand opera is the best portion of their act and secured a big hand for them at this time. Georgia Calvin, 3 shows, 10 min. in 1 -- This young woman has a fairly good voice, but I think makes a mistake in the voice of her selections. Went quite well here today, with a light audience, as well, in fact, as any of the 3-a-day straight vocalists do. Gates and Nelson, 3 shows, 8 min. full stage -- Skilful [skillful] jugglers on revolving globes. Quite an interesting and out of the ordinary little act for the 3-a-day division which could be booked for a return. Comment -The show today is a big improvement over that of the preceding six days. There is only one weak spot on the bill, viz., Rae and Bennedetto and with the capital surrounding show we will offset that. On rearrangement for the night show there was a big improvement in appreciation shown. It was an ideal out-of-doors summer day, and consequently we did not have much of an audience this afternoon. This evening almost every seat was taken and there is no question but what we will do a good business, with any kind of weather, the balance of the week.
