18 18 TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICH., MAY 14, 1906. JOHN ZIMMER has a fairly good act to open with but hardly strong enough to go down in the bill. 10 min. in one. ZENA KEIFE is a charming little singer, unaffected and with a good selection of songs. She made a decided hit. 13 min. F. S. Close in one from 3 to 5 min. WEST & VAN SICLEN gave us the same act they had when last here. While the act is not above the ordinary it gets by in good shape. 15 min. F. S. 6 min. in one. McMAHON'S MINSTREL MAIDS RICHARD F. OUTCAULT, the well known newspaper artist of Buster Brown fame, did fully as well as we expected with his stories and charcoal sketches. While he would not be considered an attraction at any price under ordinary circumstances his name will draw money and we consider him a good investment. 15 min. in one. JAMES A. KIERNAN & CO., two men and two women, presenting a comedy sketch "The Taming of the Beast," is not up to the standard of high-class vaudeville. Kiernan, Sr. is declamatory an his support is ordinary. The act just gets by with a good audience. 20 min. F. S. BILLY VAN brought considerable new stuff and was a hit. 18 min. THE FOUR LUKENS are the greatest aerialists in American vaudeville. 8 min. F. S. KINETOGRAPH pictures of San Francisco "today" are very fine.
