38 --o(2)o---- WORLD'S COMEDY FOUR: I think this act went a little better than on their last appearance. Comedian received a big lot of laughs with good applause for their vocal work. 14 min. in one - 2 shows SWAN & BAMBARD: Eccentric Comedians. Work on the style of Smith & Cook. Secured quite a number of laughs for their burlesque work. Got some little applause for the acrobatic stunts. Act is thoroughly alright. Down a little too far. 16 min.-full stage-(closed in one about 3 min) WILLARD SIMMS: Assisted by Edith Conrad. Presenting:-"Things I have seen on the Stage." Act consists of character impersonations by Willard Simms, who is very clever. Act is quite novel in its general tone and make-up. Edith Conrad makes a pleasing appearance and that lets her out. She has no voice and is not an actress. As an assistant she just about passes. Act does not create any great sensation, but pleases. Will arrange to give them a better place. 20 min.-full stage (Closed in one about 5 min) 4 LUKENS: It is only necessary to repeat the previous criticisms to say:-it is one of the greatest casting acts of its kind. Tremendous applause on their finish. 9 min. full stage KINETOGRAPH: "The Life of a Cowboy" A good subject. Quite interesting, but some parts bad photographically. "Mrs Brown's Bad Luck" Evidently taken for a humorous subject, but I failed to see the humor. RADO & BERTMAN: In their comedy sketch-"The New Girl." Well known. Woman is excess baggage. Just about gets by. Man received a bit lot of applause for his contortion work. Good three-show act. Compelled to add this number in place of Geo & Libby Dupree. 16 min-full st-
