55 New York Criticism--July 9th, 1906 ----oooOooo---- LASSARD BROTHERS: 2 men. Acrobats and Equilibrists. They get away with some very good equilibristic stunts, but lack finish, although a good act for an early place. 9 min.-full stage BROWN & DeLORES: The Singer and the Cartoonist. Harry Brown is well known as a fair cartoonist. Woman is a pretty fair vocalist. They just about got by to-day, probably due to the last picture not being suitable to the theatre-going public. 14 min. in two BLANCHE EVERETT: Presenting impersonations of well known actresses. I think this young woman will develop into a very good act in time. She gave impersonations this afternoon of Maude Raymond, Stella Mayhew, Vesta Victoria and Valerie Bergere, each one receiving quite a bit lot of applause. She has a pleasing personality and is thoroughly alright for an early place. 15 min. in one- 3 shows BOUTIN & TILLSON: 2 men. One working straight and the other, as a Yankee comedian presenting a musical act. This act to-day showed up very badly, probably due in not having the wires properly arranged in the orchestra for an electric piano, which they claim is the feature number of the act. Their performance to-day would warrant a cancelation. Some of the jokes were of the weakest order and the music badly played, the instruments bringing forth a lot of inharmonious sounds. 14 min.-full stage- 3 shows COLUMBIA COMEDY FOUR: Described in Philadelphia criticism last week. Quite an excellent three-show act. Believe fully capable of holding down a better place. Comedy and singing are both good. 24 min. in one- COIN'S DOGS: Very excellent company of performers. Well trained. Laughed at throughout. Finished to big applause. 9 min.-full stage KLINE & CLIFTON: Presenting their original novelty-"The Dummy's Holiday" Scene opens to a street, showing a clothing and millinery store. Kline acts as a dummy for the clothing store, using "props" as an assistant, while the half of the woman is seen by an illusion (using glass, lights etc) in the window of the millinery shop. Kline discovers the woman and they go through a series of alleged comedy, which secured some few laughs. The balance of the act consists of singing and dancing, Kline getting a few laughs by his trained dog, which he introduces. Act is novel, but lacks good material. Alright for an early place on the bill 14 min. in one ARTHUR & MILDRED BOYLAN: Presenting "Jack and "Jill" The children in this act are growing so tall, that I am afraid that we will have to ask for a new act
