---(2)--- if it is on about 2.30 and 8.30. 17 min.-full stage- 2 shows LAURA MILLARD: Soprano. Very pleasing voice with good personality and nicely costumed. While this woman's selections are good and fills the bill, the critics won't have her, which I presume is due to the Lyric Trio,--too much singing on the bill. 11 min. in one- 2 shows MR. EDWARD DAVIS & CO: In the one-act--two-scene tragedy:-"The Unmasking." 4 men and 2 women. The company is excellent. The idea is that two men love the same woman. They are to play at a benefit performance of Richard III. The scene opens in the Green Room of a London Theatre. The second scene is the stage during the performance. The rejected suitor makes the battle-scene a duel for life, which gives the sketch its title. Mr. Davis has personality with good delivery and is very clever. Personally, I think the act is as strong as any dramatic number we ever had. The critics pronounced it A1. Mr. Davis was compelled to respond to five curtain calls. 25 min.- full stage JAS. H. CULLEN: This man got them with him on the start-off. All of his parodies are good. Received a bit lot of laughs and finished strong. 13 min. in one SHERMAN-DeFOREST & CO: In their comedy:-"Shipwrecked at Poor Arthur." I suppose this is a series of "Bombardment of Poor Arthur." Sherman still works the same dummies as he worked in his original production. The lines and business of the act are about the same. Still has the famous battle-scene for the finish. Act went fairly good and held this spot down in good shape. 17 min.-full stage- closed in one about 4 min CARON & FARNUM: 2 men. One working straight, the other eccentric. Acrobatic comedy. Comedy work is very good, while the trick work received a big lot of applause. Excellent closing act. 10 min.-full stage KINETOGRAPH: "Kathleen Mavoureen." Interesting. Very good "The Tenant's Revenge" Good comedy
