GRAND OPERA HOUSE

PITTSBURG, PA.,   SEPT. 3RD., 1906.

POX AND DUBALL--Singing and dancing act, three shows, 10 min. olio. This is a very good act among the three a day [members?] , sepecially their dancing.

LUCE AND LUCY--18 min., interior, two shows, musical act. This act could only be classed as fair.

BRUNO AND RUSSELL--18 min. interior. After one performance of Sherlock Holmes I had them go back to their old act, which went full as big as ever.

LILLIAN ENGLISH--10 min. olio singing. This is only a fair act. One that I would not like to play late on a bill.

MURRAY AND LANE--10 min. interior.  THey are doing very well for us, taking two and three curtain calls at each performance. They were formerly in stock here in opera which may account for their going so well. However, I think their singing is very good.

DAVE LEWIS--17 min. olio, German monologue and singing. I consider Mr. Lewis one of the best entertainers we have in vaudeville. He has made a big hit at every performance this week.

THE FOUR LUKENS--10 min. woods.  This is certainly a great act. Undoubtedly the best of the kind in the business. THey are going big for us.

MANHATTAN COMEDY FOUR - Street in one ,17n min.  This act is going fairly well. The singing being very good while the comedy is only fair.

MARIE WAINWRIGHT AND FRANK SHERIDAN IN 'OUR BABY'--26 min. Interior. This is a good sketch and very well played.

MEREDITH SISTERS--14 min. open in one, 5 min then to 3.  Close in one in one minute. Vocalist and character changes, carrying special drop. Beautiful costumes. While this act goes very well their salary is entirely too high and I would not care fo play them a repeat at the salary we are paying this week.

KIMBALL AND LEWIS--3 shows, 18 min., arobatic. Singing by the 1st ding member of the team. The comedy in this act is bad. Very little acrobatic work. The singing is fair and as a whole it will go in the three a day section.

YOUNG AND MELVILLE--Singing and dancing act, 3 shows, 19 min. Will do among the tree a day section.
