103 [Illegible} Show, Week of Sept. 10, 1906. Carl D. [Lothrup?] Rado & Bertman: On at 1.00, 17 min. Full Stage. A very useful 3-a-day act, well known on the circuit. The woman is the weak spot If she was the equal of the man, it would be a 2-a-day, sure. Well dressed. Texarkana & Walby: On at 1.17, 13 min, in 1. Two bright-looking girls, in songs, dances and costume changes. The less said about their singing the better, but their dancing is very good indeed. Costumes neat. Zara & Stetson: On at 1.30, 9 min, full stage. (Carry their own blackdrop). Baton, gun and torch jugglers. Very good 3-a-day act, in fact, a good 2-a-day opening act in the smaller cities. Dressed in white semi-military costumes. The girl is rather pretty. Work is fast and well executed. Willie Weston: On at 1.39, 14 min, in 1. A clever youngster. His imitation of Joe Welch, Geo. Cohan and Bert Williams are particularly good, also his Italian song. Could hold down a better place on the bill. Pongo & Leo: On at 1.53, 10 min, in 2. Comedy acrobatic and revolving pole act. Can be done in 1 if necessary. Got good round of applause at finish. William Morrow & Miss Schellberg: On at 2.03, 15 min, in 1. First time in this house. Mr. Morrow scored at once with his laughing song and strengthened the first impression with his clever "Seven Ages Song". Miss Schellberg's opening was not so strong, although she is rather pretty and has a good voice. Think she could improce her first song. Their rendition of "Cheyenne" made a hit. Recitation "Just Like Your Mother Mandy" scored. A great act for the money and can make good in any bill. Berzac's Circus: On at 2.18, 12 min, full stage. Went with its customary scream. Mabelle Adams: On at 2.30, 12 min, in 1. Rather a pretty girl in a gypsy make-up. Plays the violin very well, although her tone is not always true. Went capitally with this afternoon's audience. Ed Reynard:: On at 2.42, 21 min, full stage. He has his customary number of novelties and is the ventriloquial entertainer par excellence. I had an excellent chance to compare his work with Prince's, as I say Prince last night. It is my candid opinion that Reynard entertains the average vaudeville-goer better than Prince, although Prince has them all beaten as a ventriloquist. Reynard received advance applause, took two curtain calls and there was great demand for another. Max Witt's Colleens: On at 3.03, 13 min, in 1. A capital idea, but not worked out to its fullest extent. Fair singers, but not good lookers. Pretty girls, good singers, some old Irish songs and an Irish reel would make an act that would be a great go. Cressy & Dayne: on at 3.16, 21 min. Playing "A Village Lawyer". One of their best, with more pathos than in most of the Cressy sketches. The usual hit. Avery & Hart: On at 3.37, 20 min, in 1. The best pair of....[page cuts off here] [Under page] Richard Bros., 8.00 Mabelle Adams, 8.ll Berzac's Circus, 8.23 Four Colleens, 8.37 Cressy & Dayne, 8.50 Morrow & Schellberg, 9.12 Reynard, 9.20 Avery & Hart, 9.48 Harndin's Ballet, 10.08 Kinetograph, 10.15
