Nora Bayes; On at 4.09, 12 min. in one. Miss Bayes received a great reception, sang three songs, with applause after every verse, and could have easily snag another song. I shall induce her to sing one verse and the chorus of "Wurzburger", for I know that the audience want it and expects it from her.
Harndin Ballet; On at 4.21, 7 min, full stage. This act improves at every show. It is an act that can be witnessed a dozen times without ever failing to find some new beauty in it.
Kinetograph, 4.28, 20 min. "Bryan's Reception in New York" has some local draft, as Boston's Mayor can be recognized in it. "The Snapshot Friend", a very fair comedy film. "Scenes on the Rive Ozu, Japan", a corking good travel picture; the colored effects are very fine. "New Magic", a comic film of little account.
Charles and Jac Ahern; On at 4:48, 17 min, full stage. This is a very, very good bicycle act for the money, and is good for an early spot on the bill.
Comment: This show runs very smoothly, in fact, there had to be no change made from the original layout. It seems to please the public greatly. Cuts were as follows: Shungopavi, did 22 min at his first show. I had him cut enough talk out of the first part of this act to bring it down to 16 min.
Nat Haines; cut, reference to perch in bird-cage; reference to skin crowded. 4 Rianos, about washing neck.
