115 Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of September 24, 1906. (Charles Lovenberg, Mgr.) This is an excellent show, one of the kinds that makes good and should pull the money, which I am confident it will do. Archer & Crocker. Acrobatic comedy act; a little act all right to open in a continuous house; wouldn't want to say any more for it. They are getting all they are worth. 10 min. full stage, 3 shows. Dudley, Cheslyn & Burns. Singing sketch; the sketch part of it amounts to very little, in fact I should call it poor. They pull up considerably on the singing, in which the woman is the best of the three. All right for a 3-a-day act. 16 min. open in three, close in one, 3 shows. Thos. Meegan & Co. Kind of a little dramatic comedy sketch which pleased thoroughly, in the early part of the bill. Good act, because we get so few of these in the 3-a-day schedule. Got a good many laughs, finished quite well. 22 min. full stage, 3 shows. Hedrix & Prescott. Well-known dancing act; held this place fairly well. 10 min. in 1, 3 shows. Josselin Trio. Aerialist act, very pretty indeed, went strongly with to-day's audience. 12 min. full stage, 2 shows. Klekko & Fravoli. Italian Operatic Vocalists. Exceptionally strong 3-a-day act. Thoroughly all right up to 8.40 in any bill. 14 min. in one, 3 shows. Musical Kleist. In his act which is well known over the circuit. Quite a while since he has played here, and because of its novelty, and some new features that he has introduced, fared excellently with the audience today. 16 min. full stage, 2 shows. Happy Jack Gardner. Blackface monologue and parodies. Didn't do as well to-day as he has on his previous visits, as I had him down in a very tough spot on the bill. In this place (where I intend to place him to-night) I think he will make good all right. 15 min. in 1, 2 shows. Norton & Nicholson. In their sketch "Ella's All Right"., one of the best comedy sketches we have ever played. A little bit coarse, but I don't believe it is offensive. 20 min. full stage, 2 shows. May Belfort. Song & Recitations. Made a big hit; the audience wanted more than she had to give. 15 min. in 1, 2 shows. Harndin's Electrical Ballet "Starlight". Most beautiful act we have ever played. Four curtain calls. 8 min. full stage, 2 shows. Meale, Welsh & Montrose. Big laughing hit of the show; a scream from start to finish. Act introducing, comedy, talk, acrobatics, dancing, and a little singing. Great novelty, and a "knock-out" hit. 25 min. in 1, 2 shows. 4 Riamos. In their well-known "Monkey Hotel" act which made an excellent closing to an exceptionally strong bill. 12 min. full stage, 2 shows. Motion Pictures. Haven't seen as yet.
