133 Report on Providence show, Oct. 8, 1906. This is probably the best show we have had this season. Every act scored for all that was expected of it, and in most cases, more. There is every reason to expect big business for the week. The Gagnoux A little juggling act which is very nice to open the show. Could stand second place. 13 Min. in 3. 3 shows. Hughes & Brown Two men in a talking act, with some fairly good singing. All right for an early spot, but hardly worth the money. 14 Min. in one, 3 shows. Grace Childers. Well-known contortion act with dog. Did very nicely. 12 Min. in one. 3 shows. The Pryors. Singing, dancing and musical act. This is an excellent act for the money, the women being exceptionally good. Could stand a better place on the bill. 15 Min., open in 3, close in one. 3 shows. Moulier Sisters Most excellent horizontal bar act for women. 8 Min. Full stage. 2 shows. May Walsh Singing comedienne. This girl has a nice personality and good enunciation. She got by in this place very well. Good three a day act. 8 Min. in one, 3 shows. Lucy & Lucier This act has been described before. Suffice to say it was a big laughing hit. 18 Min. open in 3, close in one, 2 shows. Lisle Leigh & Co. In "Kid's Glove Nan", a sketch formerly played by Elite Proctor Otis. This act was a great surprise as to merit. The act has been re-written since Miss Otis played it and, as presented now, with the excellent acting of Miss Leigh and her good support, I consider it one of the best dramatic offerings in the vaudevilles. This criticism is regardless of Miss Leigh's former connection with the Albee Stock Companies. I feel safe in saying that it would make good in any house and, at the figure at which it can be secured, strongly advise booking it. 25 Min. Full stage. 2 shows. Geo. W. Day With a lot of new material, made a hit. 15 Min in one, 2 shows. Willis Family Well-known musical act. Scored as strongly as could be expected. 18 Min. open full stage, close in one, two shows. Four Fords Best dancing act in the business. Big hit. 15 Min. Full stage, two shows. Avery & Hart There is no gainsaying that this is a very, very funny act. Had the audience screaming for twenty five minutes in one, 2 shows. Cressy & Dayne In "Grasping An Opportunity." Made their usual hit. 25 Min, Full Stage, two shows. Motion Pictures O. K. Charles Lovenberg, Mgr.
