168. PITTSBURG, PA. GRAND OPERA HOUSE. Nov. 12th, 1906. NESSEN-HUNTER & NESSEN-Comedy jugglers. 10 minutes. Garden. 3 shows. will do very well in a continuous house, doing three shows. FLEMEN & MILLER-Singing and talking. 3 shows. Olio. 12 minutes. Man and woman. do very well for the three a day section. WARD BROS-Songs and dances. 3 shows. 10 minutes. Street. These boys dress very neatly and their dancing is far above the average. I have them on at 8:15 this week and while their singing is not good, it gets by, but their dancing is a big hit PAUL KLEIST- Black art novelty. 19 minutes. This act is well known to everyone on the circuit and it is going fully as strong with us now as on former visits. MR. & MRS. ALLISON-Swedish comedy-"Minnie from Minnesota. Interior. Time of act 17 minutes-closing in one two minutes. This is their first appearance in Pittsburg and they are going very strong with us. THE GEMS-A singing act. 16 min. Singing act. A little different from anything we have had, introducing two women and three men. The act is going big with us, due to the novelty and good singing. COL. GASTON BORDEVERRY- Rifle and pistol shooting. 18 min. Garden. This act is full of sensation and causes considerable talk. Neat dressers and I feel that they are drawing us some money. EMPIRE COMEDY FOUR- Time of act 18 minutes. Street. I cannot see much merit in this act but have no hesitancy in saying that it was a big hit with our audience. MARY HAMPTON & CO. "The Melodrama" Interior-27 minutes. This is a good act but they did not seem to be up in their lines very well and it dragged somewhat early in the week. However, it is going better now and I think within a week or so it will be as good as ever it was. GEO. FULLER GOLDEN- Monologue. 18 minutes. A big hit. Mr. Golden has added a recitation to his act which goes very well. I think Mr. Golden is one of the best monologues we play. WATSON'S FARMYARD CIRCUS-22 minutes. Garden. going very well. THOS. MEEGAN & CO. in their comedy sketch-"On the Q. T. 22 min. 3 shows. This is not a good act. John P. Harris.
