2.-Phila. thews) is below the standard. There are some good situations in the act and some bright lines. It concerns a husband who thinks he has been initiated into the Masonic order, when in reality he has been a victim of a practical joke, and given a lot of words and secret signs which is is in terror of divulging. There were a good many laughs throughout the middle of the act, but the close was only fair. It has the appearance of lacking construction and those little professional touches which show the sure artist. SCOTT & WILSON, Acrobatic:- 11 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 8:31. Two men, one workin gstraight and the other RUbe. One comes out and apologizes to the audience for the absence of his partner, who in the meantime, made up as a Rube, sits down in the orchestra- circle and gives a challenge, which is accepted. The comic acrobatic work in 1 is good and received laughter and applause, with a good finish. FOUR FORDS, Dancers:- 14 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 8:42. Well known on the Circuit. Pretty singing and dancing act, catching the house strong for vivacity and general professional excellence. Several changes of costume and to the interest of the act. Holds down this good spot on the bill with credit. Close was immense with three curtain calls. JOHNNY JOHNS, Blackface Mono:- 14 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 8:56. This man's first appearance here, and was immense. He caught the crowd immediately, with the swing and dash of his work. All his songs good a good hand, and he was compelled to respond to three encores and four curtain calls, including a little speech, which was very neatly done. Johns proved himself very much all right. MR. ARNOLD DALY, "How He Lied to her Husband":- 29 min.F.S. 2 shows. On at 9:10 Criticized last week. It was just the same artistic and unqualified hit as previously,- running smoothly and delightfully from beginning to end. Closed good, with two curtain calls. Will continue to draw. NORA BAYES,Comedienne:- 16 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:40. Made an unqualified hit. Her songs and sayings are original and delivered with great effect. She met with tremendous success with the Pennsylvania college-boys present, and they would nt let her go. Took no less than eight curtain calls. EUSSEMS,Head and Hand Balancers:- 16 min. F. S. 2 shows. On at 9:56. All that has been said about this wonderful act found immense justification to-day. It was simply a knock-out hit. - Each one of their amazing feats received overwhelming applause. Nothing of this kind has every been seen here before. KINETOGRAPH:- WITCH'S CAVE:- Fantastic French series. Fast-moving and pleasing. SCENES IN HAWAII:- Fairly interesting travel film. MOTHER-IN-LAW:- One of the best comedy films we have had.
