193 #2. Phila. Girls appear in two changes of costume, and dance and sing very well. The bare-foot part of the act is very descreetly done, and could not possibly bring down adverse comment, while the novelty of it was quite enjoyable. Altogether the act should make good anywhere on account of its unconventionality and the good dancing by the veteran Burke and his talk about the old performers, some of which won a good hand. THREE LaMAZE BROTHER,Acrobatic:- 11 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 8:32. There was no doubt about about the swiftness and general interest in this knock-about comedy act. From the first they got the audience and kept them laughing through to the end. Some of falls were reckless, and there is nothing even in Rice and Prevost act that has got it distanced. Closed big, with two curtain calls. HUNGARIAN BOYS' HUSZAR BAND,Niklas Schilzonyi:- 22 min. F.S. 2 Shows(goes from F.S. to 1, then to 2, and close F.S.)-These boys are certainly the goods from every standpoint. They make a fine presentation and are accomplished and thoroughly trained musicians. Eery selection got a rousing big hand, and the finish, with the national airs, before our big Old Glory drop was a tremendous hit, bringing the entire audience to their feet. There is no doubt at all that this feature will be very widely talked about this week, and will draw thousands of music-lovers to the house. CARTER & BLUFORD,"The Act Beautiful":- 15 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:05. Carry their own drops which are effective. Well known on the Circuit. Some new songs with appropriate changes of costume. Made quite as big a hit as previously and closed strong as ever, showing that they are favorites. CRESSY & DAYNE,"A Village Lawyer":- 23 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 9:2.Big advance applause. Cressy's popularity is on the increase as his engagement proceeds. "The Village Lawyer" has been a favorite here before. With a packed house now it proved as strong as ever. It is artistic and full of Cressy's typical humor, with a touch of pathos at teh close that makes it probably the best of his sketches. The finish was immense, with two curtain calls. Cressy is IT with the Quakers. AL CARLETON, "The Kkinny Guy":- 16 in. in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:43. Well known on the Circuit. Received some advance applause. Songs and talk went very well. Certainly cuts a queer figure on the stage, and gets any laughs by making fun of himself on the physical shortcomings. Close was good. Held down this difficult place acceptably. BAILEY & AUSTIN,Acrobatic comedy:- 11 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 9:59. These peopel presented practically this same act here some months ago, but this time with a few variations. It was a scream from start to finish. The knock-about fun is a great treat to the gallery, and the acrobatic work is good. They closed in 1 in order to give the Hungarian Band a spot. This latter work was not quite as funny as the main part of the act, but got by all right.
