(2) Gallagher & Barrett. On at 3.05, 18 min, full stage. They are doing their new act, "The Battle of Too-Soon", and it is a laugh from the start. The finish seems a trifle weak to me, but I know that it must be a hard task to get a sure-fire finish after min. of constant laughter. Melani Trio. On at 3.23, 12 min, in 1. A hit, as usual, in this house, although not the sensation that it was when first on the circuit. Mrs. Langry. On at 3.35, 22 min, full stage; figuring from the time the act-drop goes down after the Melanis, until it rises for Rose. Mrs. Langtry has certainly proved a great drawing-card at this house and proises to do the record business for the week before Christmas. We are drawing very many shoppers to the matinees this week. Julian Rose. On at 3.57, 18 min, in 1. He has one of the best routines of humourous stories that I have heard in many a day. There is a laugh in almost every sentence that he utters, and while the audience is not moved to applause very frequently, still I can see that they are thoroughly pleased, and I know that they enjoy his work immensely. It must be taken into consideration that it is doubtful if every a charger epot could be picked out for any entertainer to make good in. The Wessleys. On at 4.15, 13 min, full stage. A European juggling act that arrived here from Europe last Saturday. They have hardly got their "sea-hands" off as yet, the woman particuarly making many misses, but in good form I think
