209 Cleveland Show Week Dec. 24, 1906. ( F. H. Brandt) THE PRYORS-- Singing, dancing and musical specialties. Man and woman. Very good opening act. Closed to good applause. F. S. close in one. 14 minutes. PAUL KLEIST-- Spectacular novelty or black art. This act went very well from the start to the finish and was applauded all the way through. Special set. F. S. 15 minutes. MORPHY & FRANCS-- "Real COon Habits." This is one of the best coon acts we have had here for some time. Singing, talking and dancing. The dancing of the male member of the team is unusually good and he makes some of the best falls I have ever seen. Received three curtain calls at the finish. 18 minutes in one. A NIGHT IN ENGLISH VAUDEVILLE-- Although this act played the Lyric some eight weeks ago and was put on just as good and with an equally good caste it went very good here. In fact it went much better than I thought it would go considering it had played here such a short time ago, and was very heavily advertised. Special set F. S. 21 minutes. THE VILLAGE CHOIR-- Received a good deal of advance applause, and went very well. This act always goes good in Cleveland. Received three curtain calls at finish. 16 minutes, in one. CARLETON MACY MAUDE HALL & CO.-- "The Magpie and The Jay." One act rural comedy drama. This is one of the best things of its kind we have ever had. Miss Hall as Liz, the magpie from the bowery, has the best line of bowery talk I have ever heard and the audience seemed to grasp every point. This act should make good anywhere in any spot on the bill. Three people. Two women and one man. F. S. 22 minutes. Received three curtain calls at close. ELINORE SISTERS-- Enough said. They were a scream from start to finish. Received four curtain calls and as usual Miss Elinore had to make a little speech. They are great favorites in Cleveland. Drop in one. 15 minutes. THERESA RENTZ-- The greatest Equestrienne on the world. We had some trouble in locating the car which contained Miss Renz baggage and did not getto the theatre until after three o'clock. We managed to get her mats on so she could go through her performance with the exception of doing the skirt dance on the horse, as we could not put [strikethrough] picture [/strikethrough] ^[?] lights on during the performance. ^[which go in Orchestra Pit] This is one of the best horse acts we have ever had. Considering that it closed the bill it went unusually well and received very heavy applause at the finish. She carries two beautiful white horses they were very well groomed and worked very well this afternoon. The act runs 14 minutes. This afternoon it ran 11 minuteswithout the skirt dance. Special black panorama drop F. S. KINETOGRAPH-- The Unexperienced Chauffeur--- A good comedy picture. COMMENT-- This is an unusually good bill, as thereis not a bad act on the bill and we expect to do a big business. The following objection was found in the show. A NIGHT IN ENGLISH VAUDEVILLE-- Throwing coat into the audience.
