213 #3.-Phila. or merely a clever fakir. At any rate, although the enthusiasm over his work does not compare to the riotous nights of last year, he is a stupendous drawing-card. KINETOGRAPH:- INTERNATIONAL CROSS-COUNTRY RUN ENGLAND:-An interesting series of clear pictures. "AND THE VILLAIN STILL PURSUED HER:- One of the best comedy films we have had for some time. GENERAL REMARKS:-Although this show is not as strong as last week, it satisfies the holiday crowd and makes good with all parts of the house. The three-a-day section is better than last week's and is quite without a walk spot. It is unnecessary to state that business is immense and that the box-office was closed at a quarter before three in the afternoon and only the poorest apology for standing-room anywhere in the house in the evening. The only shift was CONNOR & RAYMOND which went from second to fourth place. All the others held down their individual places with credit. The following cuts and objections were made in our show this week:- CONNOR & RAYMOND:- "I would be satisfied with what you got in your sticking [stocking] Xmas." LA BELLE TIRO:- "Every time he laughed he looked half undressed." Caruso joke. ZISKA & KING:- Pretending to throw something into audience. Making faces at audience. Cut out fire-works. FEJ. -0-
