222 CONTINUED. CARSON & WILLARD--Dutch Comedians made their usual hit, and compare favorably with any of the German teams, and their Stock Brokers gag was very funny. 18 minutes in one. NITA ALLEN & CO.---Miss Allen assisted by three men in a sketch "In Car Two--Stateroom One." I was agreeably surprised in this sketch, as I was led to believe that it was very much "off." It is a novelty, and I only wish we had more sketches like it on the Circuit. There is certainly no harm in a woman taking out her dressing gown, and night gown in her own stateroom, and the complications of the two people riding on two passes "Mr. & Mrs. are not unhealthy. The lines are bright; the sketch is full of laughs. Miss Allen's acting is good, and her leading man is young, good looking, and got a big encore for his song. The Special Scenery. Panorama effect, moving wheels, etc., are all very good, and I cannot see where the objections come in. In case there should be any thin skinned people who object to the porter starting in with the pillow after they are married, and as the curtain is coming down I cut that part out. I can highly recommend the act. 22 minutes, full stage. GEO. EVANS---Fifth and last week for this expensive luxury. But I must say he went better than ever. He changed his material, and introduced some straight singing that went to big applause. I expected to see him almost fall down in this hard spot after four weeks, but it turned out to be quite the contrary. 20 minutes in one. MAX WESSELEY AND HIS TROUPE OF JUGGLERS--A woman and three men in an exceedingly difficult and clever act. The audience had so many good thing that they were very cold with these people till towards the finish of the act when they let loose, and the act finished with tremendous applause. It is an act that will never be much talked about on account of so much competition. 13 minutes, full stage. KINETOGRAPH---"Aladdin and his wonderful Lamp." A very good interesting film. "A Trip to the Giant's Causeway, Ireland." Very beautiful scenes. NOTE---This is a great show from number two down to the finish, and it is a long time since we have had so much spontaneous applause for nearly everything. Lindsay Morison.
