231 --oOo- HARLEM OPERA HOUSE (Page 2) the matinee crowds which was composed principally of women. All indications point to a big week and presume she will be the drawing card. 10 min.-in one EXPOSITION FOUR: This act opened up rather tame, but it got them later on. The singing and dancing at the finish won an encore and they became popular. They pleased, however. 18 min.-full stage-cl is one FIELDS & WARD: Laughing hit of the show. 22 min. in one. JAY CIRCUS: With DAN SHERMAN, MABEL DeFOREST CO: Opens in one showing the exterior of a circus tent, boys buying tickets, and, etc. Quite a lot of good dialogue between a twin brother of Sherman and the Proprietor, mistaken identity, which results in a number of good laughs. Second scene represents the interior of the circus, showing a dozen boys seated on benches. The business introduced is excellent. Sherman gives a trapeze exhibition, which is well known and has always been a scream. Act closes with a donkey bare-back riding and the grand-stand falling with the kids going in a 11 directions. Finished to big applause. 23 min.-full stage KINETOGRAPH: "Modern Diogenes" Very good
