232. Cleveland Show Week Jan. 14, 1906. ( Fred H. Brandt) FORTUNE & DAVIS-- Musical skit entitled "My Sweetheart" Man andwoman. As far as thesketch is concerned it amounts to very little. Talking is very bad and the entire act is bearly held up by the singing. Went very flat at finish. 18 minutes. F. S. close in one. MILT WOOD--Expert Wooden Shoe Dancer. Without a doubt this is one of the best singing and dancing acts I ever saw. Received very hearty applause and during his entire act. Received two curtain calls. 7 minutes in one. BARROWS - LANCASTER CO in their original rural comedy "Thanksgiving Day" by Edmund Day. Four people. three men, and one woman. As far as I can make out this is nothing more than a pocket edition of "Shore Acres" as the story andcharacters are almost identically the same. It is a very good act, and will make good most anywhere on the bill. Received two curtain calls at finish. 25 minutes. Special set. F. S. MAY BELFORT-- Vocalist and comedienne. This act is just the same as it was when it played here before. Her first two songs are the same. Her third song is new. She wears a very beautiful gown and the act went very good. 15 minutes. plush drop in one. THE THREE HICKMAN BROTHERS-- Billed "Novelty acrobatic comedy" Three men. Onestraight and two comedy. It is very hard for anyone to find the acrobatic end of this act, as I cannot see any. It consists of singing, dancing, talking, comedy boxing, and closes in one with what sounded like a circus band. In fact it is a little of everything, and not much of anything, but seemed to please. C. D. F. 14 minutes. Close in one 2 minutes. SIX PEERLESS MOWATTS-- This act is too well known on the circuit for any comment. When last seen here there were only five. They are now carrying a very small boy, who does very little outside of filling in. Received applause all through the act and went very good. 7 minutes. F. S. MAYME REMINGTON AND HER PICKANINNIES-- Four Pickaninnies. This act did not go nearly as well as when last seen here, as it seemed to lack life. The applause was very light at the close of all her songs with the exception of her last song and the dancing of the pickaninnies, which carried the act through. OPen in one, go to two, special drop, close in one. 12 min. THE FOUR BARD BROTHERS-- There is very little need to criticise this act as it is without a doubt the best act of its kind in the business today, and went good from start to finish. F. S. 10 minutes. KINETOGRAPH-- International Cross country run-- Very good. And the Villian Still pursued her-- Good comedy.
