#3.-Phila. ELINORE SISTERS,Comediennes:- 20 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:30. Well known. Advance applause. It is only necessary to say that they made their usual unqualified hit. Kate Elinore is certainly the best woman laugh-getter working in 1 in all the range of Vaudeville. Closed very strong, with two curtain calls. FUTURITY WINNER:- 20 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 9:50. This act certainly took a strong grip on the popular crowd. The action of the drama is of a Kramer melodramatic order, as is quite natural with a race-horse feature. There are spots where it is distinct play to the gallery, but for all that, the interest is kept up from the very start, and by the time the big finish comes on, the audience is worked up to a fine pitch of enthusiasm. The finish is one of the most stunning things ever presented in Vaudeville. It is logical and brilliant as well as ingenious and artistic in every detail. This act is sure to be talked about and will make good with all parts of the house. KINETOGRAPH:- THE CRAZY MATTRESS:- One of the funniest comedy films ever offered. THE WONDERFUL ALBUM:-A beautiful series of imported fanciful kind. GENERAL REMARKS:-There is big material here for a winning show, as every body conceives.. It is likewise a most difficult bill to play off, which accounts for some apparent incongruities,- for instance, placing NITA ALLEN and Co. on at 8:25, and FRANCELIAS at 9:14. It was not on account of the lack of merit of the Cressy act that made it go up the bill, not superior merit on the part of Francelias that put him down there. It was simply because working the big palace-car scene and the FUTURITY WINNER racing set on the same bill was a big problem and the arrangement of the bill had to be made accordingly. Moreover, for the first hour or more on the bill, there was nothing but men, with no swish of the skirt heard for the first seven acts .The re-arrangement, however, resulted satisfactorily, and there were many compliments from patrons (who filled the house to overflowing) on the diversity and general high quality of the bill in its entirely. The following cuts were made in our show this week;- STEVENSON & NUGENT:- "Early to bed and early to rise, etc", Joke about examining head regularly. ELINORE SISTERS:- "For God's sake." -o- FEJ.
